Lisa Ahaesy

Lisa Ahaesy serves as Chief of Staff for the Massachusetts Air National Guard and Director of the Joint Staff at Joint Force Headquarters, Massachusetts National Guard, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass. Lisa joined the United States Air Force when she was a senior at BMC Durfee High School in Fall River. She started her career as an Airman Basic in 1988 and earned her current rank of Brigadier General in 2023.  

Lisa serves full-time with her husband, CMSgt Dan Ahaesy and their daughters, Julia & Laura-Kate Ahaesy. Both daughters are Senior Airmen /E4s in the 102d Intelligence Wing, Cape Cod, Mass. Lisa earned an associate’s degree from Bristol Community College, Fall River, Mass.; a bachelor’s degree from Roger Williams University, Bristol, RI; and a master’s degree from Anna Maria College, Paxton, Mass. Lisa actively serves her community as a member of the Town of Somerset’s Veteran Advisory Board; member of VFW Post 8500 in Somerset; Somerset Lions Club; and Fall River Elks Lodge #118.
